Today Debby was giving her fans a little treat for helping her reach 2.5M followers on twitter. Back in July on the 23rd she told her fans that she was planning to release a cover on the song "Sweater Weather" by The Neighborhood and looks like today that day has come! Early, early this morning at about 1AM Debby posted a tweet that said:
With a follow up tweet:
This of course made her aliens go crazy. We've fallen in love with her voice so many times and we were stoked to fall in love with it again. This morning all us aliens could do was wait with anticipation for Debby's album. We were going absolutely crazy for it! It's what our ears craved. While us aliens went crazy thinking about this soon to be released cover, we happened to make a trend about it!
Pretty awesome, right? After a few hours of trending that and several people hitting tweet limit, we did it! Around 11PM West Coast time Debby finally released the song, but only to her members at DebbyRyan.com! When us aliens saw it in our inbox all we could do was automatically click it and listen to it a bunch of times. Debby Ryan's cover of "Sweater Weather" was original and had a unique twist and style to it. Debby did the unusual and made a cover of the song with a uke work. This video was all made in one take and it doesn't sound like any of the vocals were touched! No surprise there! The cover is absolutely real. She also didn't overdo the cover with her set up of it all. It's simple yet perfect. In the video we see a gorgeous Debby Ryan with her uke walking around her house strumming and singing. She really focused on the music aspect rather than the set up. She focused on the lyrics. That's a true artist. She also did an amazing job transitioning between lyrics! At one moment she would be slow and smooth and then the other it would be energetic and upbeat! What do you think of Debby's cover? Leave your comments below!
